         Bernice Floyd Bryant Jr., age 86, of Frankfort, died Thursday, August 3, 2017 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center.


        He was the son of Bernice Floyd Bryant Sr., and Lettie Cammack Bryant.  He was a member of Crestwood Baptist Church, Frankfort, and served in the U.S. Army, and Army Airborne where he was a paratrooper.  He was also a member of the Beaver Creek Masonic Lodge #335, and Anderson Lodge #90.  He was a graduate of Sinai Western High School, and Eastern Kentucky University, and took classes at the University of Kentucky.  He was an elementary school teacher for the Anderson County School System, where he taught art at 7 different schools in the district, and also taught art at Franklin County High School. He enjoyed Golfing, Fishing, Chess, and Sandlot Crochet. 


        He is survived by his loving wife for 62 years, Jane Bourne Bryant of Frankfort; sisters, Ruby Bryant Hardin, Lexington, and Bonnie Hume, Florida, and several nieces and nephews. 


        Funeral services 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at Gash Memorial Chapel with Dr. Robert F. Ehr officiating. Masonic services will be held at 12:00 P.M. Tuesday.  Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery with military honors.  Visitation will be 11:00 till time of service Tuesday. Memorial Contributions may be made to Bluegrass Care Navigators or the Anderson County Gideon's International.
