Thinking of all of you at this most difficult time. I remember going out with Clayton and playing baseball with Larry. He used to hit the most ridiculously high baseballs (which seemed to go to outerspace) down at old Farmer's Elementary. He definitely made me a better ball player! He put up with us staying up late and running wild through our old neighborhood and the mischief that came with it. Always smiling and showing his support for us. I know he will be greatly missed. I think I know where Clayton got his forearms like Mickey Mantle !

I went to Lafayette High School with Larry for 3 years. Moved away my junior year. Before that we played a lot of basketball against each other. Larry was a super athlete. Could have been a star in any sport. Fast and quick, he chose baseball over the other sports. He was the best baseball player for 3 years and still probably holds the record for most home runs hit in pony league baseball. He was a star in the old Bluegrass league. To his children and grandchildren, I am sorry for your loss and know you are grieving a lot. These are some fond remembrances I have of Larry. He was good enough to play in the major leagues. I will always remember him as the best ball player I ever knew. Sincerely, Lonnie Monroe

May you rest in peace for now you're with the Lord, where your days will be filled with walks of beauty and happiness that heaven has to offer. You are now in the Lords hands and will soon be one of his angels. God bless your family.
