Darlene, Jackie and Jeremy,
I am at a loss for words. 'Big' Jackie was always so kind to me as a child, and even as a young man when I would occasionally run in to him at a gas station or wherever else. I remember going to the park in Versailles once with him and the boys to hit baseballs, softballs and I even think golf balls. That was probably a better location then discovering that a ball had busted a window on your home from one of us hooligans.
I even remember coming up one day, when Jeff's Video Shoppe was open, to wash your alls car for exactly $2.12, so I could rent a Nintendo game. When I approached Big Jackie with my business proposition, the dumbfounded look on his face from the low-offered rate was quickly agreed upon. Only later in life did I realize I short-changed myself. It's a shame I was not able to see him in the last few years, but I will always have fond memories. I pray that the three of you find peace throughout this difficult time in your lives. Please do not hesitate to contact me if there is anything I can do.

Rest easy big guy!
Love,
Tony

Darlene, we are so sorry to hear about the passing of Jackie. We had a lot of fun together when we were young. Times pass by so quickly. I never knew, but if he was in pain, he is free of it now being with God. We pray for you and your family to stay strong and you all will be together once again in the years to come. Love Glenn & Diane Lewis (cousin)

Uncle Jackie you were loved by so many. I cherish the many memories that we've shared throughout my life. You were an amazingly strong man & you fought harder and longer than what seemed humanly possible to the hospice nurse's. The love that you & Aunt Darlene shared surpasses that of any fairytale romance ever written. Romeo & Juliet have nothing on y'all! We love you dearly & are thankful that your pain and struggle are now over.
P.S. Don't worry about Aunt Darlene. I promise I'll be there for her to help in any way. I know her heart is shattered, she wasn't ready to let you go. You were her best friend & she yours. You were her other half and now she must learn to move forwards without you by her side but we know you will stay with her to watch over her from your heavenly home and when her time comes you'll be right there, waiting on your woman.๐Ÿ’–
