Edward Donald Sullivan, 84, of Lawrenceburg, husband of 64 years to Evelyn Hill Sullivan, died Monday, March 27, 2017 at his residence.
He was born in Versailles, KY to Jesse Templeton and Ethel McCall Sullivan. He was a member, deacon, trustee, and the Sunday School Secretary at Pigeon Fork Baptist Church; worked as a farmer; and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Along with his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Teresa (David) Burns, of Lawrenceburg; son, Gary (Deborah) Sullivan, of Waddy; six grandchildren, Darren Sullivan, Andrew (Heather) Sullivan, Lawrenceburg, Brenna (Rick) Danford, of Texas, Chad (Jessica) Sullivan, Waddy, Kathleen Burns, Lawrenceburg, James Burns, Morehead; four great-grandchildren, Cameron Sullivan, of Lawrenceburg, Calloway, Bentley, and Owynn Sullivan, all of Shelby County; sister, Sue Guffey, Frankfort; and brother, David (Nancy) Sullivan, of Willisburg,
He was preceded in death by one sister, Elsie Franklin; 6 brothers, James Thomas Sullivan, Elwood “Buddy” Sullivan, Kenneth Sullivan, Harold “Bo” Sullivan, Joseph Sullivan, and Douglas Sullivan; 5 half-siblings, Myrtle Newnam, Lucille, Newton, Jesse “Pete” Sullivan, Isabel Carter, and Dorthy Slucher.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 31, 2017 at Gash Memorial Chapel with Bro. Vernon Carpenter officiating. Burial will follow in the Pigeon Fork Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Thursday.
Pallbearers will be Chad Sullivan, Darren Sullivan, Joe Sullivan, Jeff Franklin, Danny Franklin, and Elwood Sullivan, Jr. Honorary bearers will be George Catlett, Albert Tinsley, Tommy Houchin, Harold Stamper, Ralph Carey, Lisco Beasley, Jr., Jimmy Sullivan, and Paul Ritchey.
