Ollie Mae Henry Black, age 97, widow of James T. Black, died Friday, December 2, 2016 at Heritage Hall Healthcare Center.
She was born in Kentucky to the late Ebben Martin and Harriett Cathryn Clark Henry. She was a member at Alton Baptist Church; spent her days as a gardener and a cook; and employed by Kroger in Gary, IN for 20 years where she worked as a cashier.
She is survived by her daughter, Mary Lois Black Faulkner, of Indiana; three grandchildren, Gregory (Lesa) Faulkner, California, Kimberly (Richard) Davis, Illinois, and Lisa (Kosmas) Kayes, Indiana; 10 great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.
Along with her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Denny Faulkner and 11 siblings.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Gash Memorial Chapel with Bro. Gary Ellcessor officiating. Burial will follow in Lawrenceburg Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11-1 p.m. prior to the service.
