Lola Joyce Stratton, 70, died Monday, June 27, 2016 at the UK Medical Center.
She was born in Anderson County to the late Cecil and Eva Robinson Stratton. She was a member and former Faith Sunday School teacher of Alton Baptist Church; 1963 graduate of Anderson County High School; and a retired Technician from Osram Sylvania.
Ms. Stratton is survived by her son, Shannon (Leslie) Stratton; grandson, Adam Stratton, both of Lawrenceburg; five brothers, Walter (Betty) Stratton, Louisville, Bronson (Marcus) Stratton, Donnie (Gale) Stratton, Garvice (Lavon) Stratton, and Leon (Jean) Stratton, all of Lawrenceburg; sister, Goldie Kinder, Louisville; and special friends, Phyllis Pittman, Marcella Cox, Carol Lee, Jean Acton, Marsha McDonald, and Marsha Taylor.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, Robert, Clinton, Coy, and Roy Stratton; and three sisters, Edna McDowell, Pauline, and Lucille Stratton.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 1, 2016 at Gash Memorial Chapel with Bro. Rick Shannon officiating. Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Thursday.
Casketbearers will be Floyd, David, Timothy, Monty, Eric, Shane, and Dale Stratton. Honorary bearers will be Bobby Stivers, Donald L. Hendry, Jr., Robert Preston, Mason Showalter, Gary Stratton, Kevin Stratton, and Mark Stratton.
