Jerelene Chapman Harley, 84, of Lawrenceburg, wife of 65 years to James Paul Harley, died Sunday, September 18, 2016 at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown, KY.
She was born in Mercer County to the late Curtis and Emma Jackson Chilton Chapman. She was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, Woman’s Sunday School Class, and Woman’s Missionary Union; former member of Claylick United Methodist Church; and Business and Professional Woman’s Club of Lawrenceburg; and a retired Postal Clerk from the U.S. Postal Service in Lexington.
Besides her husband, Mrs. Harley is survived by her daughter, Jackie Mae Harley (Mike) Keller, Magnolia, KY; two granddaughters, USMC PFC, Harley Savannah Keller, Okinawa, Japan, and Michae’La Sinclair Keller, Magnolia, KY; and brother, Thomas E. (Carol) Chapman, Lawrenceburg.
She was preceded in death by her twin sons, Stewart Lee and Steven Lynn Harley; and brother, Shelby Leroy Chapman.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at Gash Memorial Chapel with Bro. Gary Drury, Bro. Bobby Chesser, and Bro. Shannon Blosser officiating. Burial will follow in the Hebron Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, and prior to services on Wednesday.
