Willis Bickers, 86, of Lawrenceburg, widower of Judy Wash Bickers, died Wednesday, July 8, 2020 at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington.
He was born in Anderson County to the late Robert and Princess Baker Bickers. Willis spent his days as a farmer and owned Bickers Construction for over 50 years.
Mr. Bickers was survived by 9 children, Eric (Veronica) Bickers, Julie Crane, Rhonda Snipes, Karen Doss, Connie (Bud) Snipes, Tommy (Sharon) Bickers, Faye Ware, all of Lawrenceburg, Robert (Kandi) Bickers, Owenton and Steve Doss, of Richmond; brother, Wadie Bickers, of Frankfort; 18 grandchildren, Austin (Brittany) Bickers, Zach Bickers, Ashely Crane, Alex Crane, Brittney Brown; Lee (Samantha) Snipes; Rachel (Matt) Simpson; Chris (Lori) Snipes; Willis (Alisha) Bickers; Jesse Bickers; Kathy Bickers; Chad (Julie) Case; Chris (Becky) Ware; Ashley Ware; Stephen Doss; Autumn Doss; Amanda Doss and Madison Doss; 18 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild.
Along with his wife and parents he was preceded in death by two sons-in-law, Gary Snipes and Ricky Ware; brothers, Morris Biggers, Butch Bickers and Bobby Bickers; and sisters, Goldie Brewer, Barbara King, Sadie Bickers and Polly.
Funeral services will be Friday, July 10, 2020 at Gash Memorial Chapel at 1:00 pm with Bro. Terry Cooper and Bro. Mike Blacketer officiating. Burial will follow in Etherington Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11-1 pm prior to the service.
Casket bearers will be Austin Bickers, Zach Bickers, Alex Crane, Lee Snipes, Chris Snipes and Willis Bickers. Honorary bearers will be Kenneth Gill, Bud Snipes, BJ Crane, Suzie Castle, Dude Caldwell and Brittany Brown.
