Sean Blaine Killen, age 56, of Frankfort, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, November 25, 2023. He was born Thursday, August 31, 1967 in Dayton, Ohio. Sean passed away peacefully at his home, as was his wish.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carole Anne Hall and Ronald Gene Killen.
He is survived by his wife, Kelley Sue Stephens Killen, of Frankfort; two daughters, Stephanie (Daniel) Contreras and Dakota Rae Killen; granddaughter, Becky Contreras, all of Havasu City, AZ; sister, Traci (Randy) Killen Carrell, Apple Valley, CA; niece, Carrie Anne (Charles) Martinez; great nieces and great nephews, Scarlett, Theo, Roman and Paisley Martinez, all of Riverside, CA; and his Aunt and Uncle, Tom and Janie Hall, of Frankfort, KY.
Sean loved the outdoors. He loved warm weather and being on the ocean. He loved fishing and gardening. He was a whiz at cards and sports stats. Everyone who knew Sean, knew he had a big personality, was whip-smart, had a wicked sense of humor and a quick wit. All of which will be sadly missed by friends and loved ones.
Sean faced illness and mortality with a level of strength, humor, courage and dignity rarely seen. He was extremely grateful to Hospice Care of the Bluegrass, as is his wife, for their kindness and compassion during a very difficult time.
A special thanks needs to be expressed for his nurses, Dena and Stacey. He cared greatly for them both.
He also would have been very appreciative to Noon and Son Funeral Home for the gentle and respectful way they carried out his final wishes.
A Memorial in Sean’s honor will be held at a future date, yet to be determined.
Noon & Son is honored to be entrusted with final care.
