Roger Lee Seamster, 64, husband to Barbara Jane “Barbie” Shely Seamster, of Lawrenceburg, passed away Thursday, August 19, 2021 at Frankfort Regional Medical Center.
Roger was born in South Boston, Virginia to the late Johnnie Salem and Nannie Bett Peck Seamster. He was a 1976 graduate of Halifax County High School in Virginia; retired from Florida Tile after many years; and had a passion for old cars and trucks.
Along with his wife he is survived by six children, Tracy Kullburg, Emily Michelle Flynn, Jennifer Seamster, Amy Seamster, all of Lawrenceburg, Shannon (Vic Frantz) Cunningham and John Boblett, both of Springfield; 11 grandchildren; two sisters, Joanne (Woody Tuck) Seamster Wilborn, South Boston, Virginia, Mary (Bill) Seamster Cave, Charlottesville, Virginia; brother, Randy (Sherry) Davis, Berlin, New Hampshire; several brother and sister in-laws; and a host of other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by two granddaughters, Sydney Nicole Peffer and Emily Madison Flynn; and a mother-in-law who recently passed, Lizzie Helen Hardin.
Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at Gash Memorial Chapel with Bro. Noal Cotton officiating. Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery. Visitation 11-1 p.m. Tuesday prior to the service.
Casket bearers will Ray Burke, Anthony Searcy, Rick Bingham, Keith Jeffries, Marcus Kincaid, and Jobey Harvey. Honorary bearers will be his Florida Tile family.
