Reva Mae (Cornn) Lathrem

Reva Mae Lathrem, 92, of Frankfort, Kentucky, passed away on October 9, 2025.Reva was born on June 21, 1933, in Frankfort, to Lois Cornn and Christine Brewer White. Reva served her country with distinction, working in the intelligence community across four decades. During that time, she became the highest-ranking woman in the Central Intelligence Agency. Before Reva retired and returned to Frankfort in 1989, she lived in Colorado, Germany, Massachusetts, and Virginia. In her retirement, Reva was extensively involved in her church and community, as well as numerous organizations and clubs. Reva poured her boundless energy into her many pursuits, including horses, fast cars, collecting antiques, painting, and chronicling her adventures in her memoirs. 

Reva was preceded in death by her parents, husband, James "Jimmy" Lathrem, and granddaughter, Sarah Allen.

Reva is survived by her daughters, Roxana (Omar Salem) and Christina Allen (Richard); three grandchildren, Alexander (Vikki Partlow), Morgan, and Anna; and three great-grandchildren, Warren and Saralyn Allen and Roxanne Hopperton.

Reva, Mom, Grandma, and GG, you were always happiest when surrounded by family and friends, and you never liked to say goodbye. You will be dearly missed by everyone who loved you.

Plans for an informal celebration of life will be held at her home,1021 Hanly Lane, Frankfort, KY., on November 2, 2025 from 1-3 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Joseph Hospital, in Reva's name.
