Morris “Moose” Cummins, 71, of Lawrenceburg, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at his residence.
He was born in Versailles, Kentucky to the late John Allen Cummins and Elsie Pauline Dennis Carpenter. He worked at Mago Construction for 35 years. Moose was very patriotic and was passionate about donating to various charities, especially the Wounded Warriors.
Moose is survived by four children, Fran (Chris) Wells, Robert Allen Cummins, Stephanie (Drew) Garlen, and Chasity (Bryce) House, all of Lawrenceburg; two stepsons that he raised, Derek Garland, Lawrenceburg, and Dustin (Heather) Garland, Frankfort; 15 grandchildren, Jessica (Robert) Satterley, Chelsey Caldwell, Josey Wells, Alli Johnson, RJ Cummins, Breana Cummins, Chailyn Morrison, Gavin Cummins-Clark, Sophia Cummins-Garlen, Kamryn Beasley, Kori Beasley, Autumn Garland, Addie Garland, Wesley Garland, Garrett Garland; five great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by a grandson, Briar Scott House; three brothers, Marvin Eugene “Bootie” Cummins, Don Allen Cummins, Gene Cummins; and sister, Barbara Sue Beasley.
Funeral services will be 4:00 p.m. Friday, June 18, 2021 at Gash Memorial Chapel with Bro. Noal Cotton officiating. His cremains will be privately placed in Lawrenceburg Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. on Thursday and starting at 11:00 a.m. Friday until the time of service.
