Matthew Craig Hudson

          Matthew Craig Hudson, 55, of Lexington, passed away on Saturday, February 15, 2025 at University of Kentucky Medical Center.

          He was born in Saigon, Vietnam on November 30, 1969 and attended Cadentown Baptist Church in Lexington. In his spare-time he enjoyed visiting local gas stations to get a pop and scratch-offs. Matthew was a people person who loved to talk.

          Matthew is survived by his father Craig Wesley Hudson, of Lexington; paternal grandmother, Ethel Thurman, of Lawrenceburg; sister, Marquita (Ramon) Carr; niece and nephew, Maya and Andre Carr, all of Colorado Springs, CO; aunts and uncle, Marshale (James) Holland, Louisville, Jonathan Thurman, Lexington, Cindy Bean, and Gina Penny, both of Lawrenceburg; special friends, Marcy Hall, Missy Hall and Samuel Thompson; and a host of cousins and many friends.

          He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Johnny Lewis Thurman, Sr. and aunt, Lori Penny.

          Funeral services will be Saturday, February 22, 2025 at Noon & Son Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Aaron Mansfield officiating. Visitation will be from 11-2 p.m. on Saturday prior to the service. Cremation will follow.
