Marion A. Stucker, Jr., age 93, husband for 72 years to Earlene Harley Stucker, of Lawrenceburg, died Saturday, June 20, 2020 at Baptist Health in Lexington.
Mr. Stucker was born in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky to the late Marion Stucker, Sr. and Sidney Sires Stucker. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army where he went to Germany and served in the Korean War; member of First Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and taught the Fishers of Men Sunday School Class; a former manager at IBM for over 30 years; and an avid fisherman and hunter.
Along with his wife he is survived by his daughter, Cynthia (Andrew) Faris, Frankfort; son, John David Stucker; brother, William (Joyce) Stucker, and sister, Jean (Manford) Hogg, all of Lawrenceburg; grandchildren, Michelle (Aaron) Lancaster, Shepherdsville, Morgan (John) Thacker and Cassie Stucker, both of Lawrenceburg, and Lyndon Stucker, Versailles; great-granddaughter, Lexie Christmas, Lawrenceburg.
He was preceded in death by brothers, Earl Stucker, Marvin Stucker, and Harley Stucker; sisters, Mary Baston and Joyce Ann Stucker.
Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 24, 2020 at Gash Memorial Chapel with Dr. Jeff Eaton officiating. Burial will follow in Lawrenceburg Cemetery. Visitation 11-1 p.m. Wednesday prior to the service.
Casket bearers will be John Thacker, Lyndon Stucker, Andrew Faris, Aaron Lancaster, Joe Fisher, Scott Gaines, and Martin Harley. Honorary bearers will the Fishers of Men Sunday School Class.
