Margaret Hazel Cooper Perry, 85, of Lawrenceburg, widow of Albert Eugene Perry, died Thursday, May 5, 2022 at Saint Joseph Hospital in Lexington.
Mrs. Perry was born in Anderson County to the late James Arthur and Sarah Alice Cooper. She grew up at Corinth Christian Church and most recently worshipped with Ninevah Christian Church. Margaret earned her Bachelor’s Degree Summa Cum Laude at Roanoke Bible College in Elizabeth City, North Carolina, now named Mid-Atlantic Christian University. She was a former manager for Belden and spent many years as a homemaker.
She is survived by her daughter, Carlola Gayle Perry Foster; granddaughter, Perry Catherine Foster; brother, James Donald Cooper; two sisters, Mary Maxine (Gary) Stinnett and Patricia Ann Cooper, all of Lawrenceburg; brother-in-law, William Preston “Billy” Henderson, Frankfort; several nieces and nephews; and lifelong friend, Melva Rae Watford Whitaker, of Washington, North Carolina.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Peggy Jeanette Cooper Henderson.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, May 9, 2022 at Corinth Christian Church with Bro. Terry Cooper officiating. Burial will follow in the Corinth Cemetery. Visitation 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. on Monday prior to the service.
