Louise Guy-Perret Perry, 98, of Lawrenceburg, died Saturday, November 13, 2021 at her residence.
Born July 26, 1923 in El Verano, California. Her father and mother, Andre and Marie Abadie Guy-Perret came to America from France. She was retired in 1978 from Bank of America after 30 years of service, having held numerous positions.
In the bay area of California, she met and married her late husband, Rev. Bernard G. Perry who was a native of Anderson County. She worked beside him in the building of two churches and in other churches he pastored in both California and Anderson County. She organized choirs in each church, taught Sunday School, worked in Bible School, and did pretty much anything where needed. They moved from California to Anderson County on Thanksgiving Day, 1978.
She is survived by a very special sister-in-law, Joyce Perry, of Lawrenceburg, and several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Three brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.
Funeral services to be held by Dr. Robert F. Ehr at 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 19, 2021 at First Baptist Church, where she had her membership and was a member of the Homemaker’s Sunday School Class. In earlier years she sang in the choir, helped in Vacation Bible School, and was a substitute teacher. Visitation 11-2 p.m. Friday prior to the service. Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Gash Memorial Chapel.
