Janet Payne Winchek, 85, widow of Robert J. Winchek passed away May 12, 2026, at her residence in Lawrenceburg. She was born August 12, 1940, to the late Clarence E. and Zelma Gentry Payne.

She was a homemaker and loved going out to eat with her family and enjoying family vacations.

Survived by her two children, Deborah Gash (Ricky) of Salvisa, and Bobby Wincheck of Mt. Olivet, KY. Grandchildren, Angela Herzog and Jenifer Sweet; Great Grandchildren, Madison and Joseph Herzog, Camilla and Duncan Sweet; Brothers, Ralph Payne (Nella) of Winchester, KY., and Ron Payne (Lisa) of Paris, KY.

Along with her parents and husband, Janet was preceded in death by her daughter, Rebecca L. Sims, and a sister, Joetta Fryman.

A celebration of Janet’s life will be held at 5:30 PM Thursday, May 21, 2026, at Noon & Son Funeral Home. A gathering of family and friends will be from 4:00 PM until time of service.
