James Edward “Jim” Beasley, 79, husband to Beverly Myers Beasley, of Lawrenceburg died Monday, December 8, 2020 at the VA Medical Center in Lexington.
He was born in Mercer County to the late James Franklin and Dorothy Houchin Beasley. He was a graduate of Mercer County High School; member at Fairview Christian Church; US Army and Air Force veteran; and worked for the Department of Corrections as a warehouse supervisor.
Along with his wife he is survived by two sons, James Wade (Sylvia) Beasley, Shelbyville and William Franklin "Billy" Beasley, Burgin; daughter, Mary Evelyn (Jeremy Brown) Beasley, Lexington; 5 grandchildren, Alissa, Austin, Shelbi, and Sydni Beasley and Camden Dotson; nephew, Blaine Riley; and sister, Jean Ann Riley.
Jim was preceded in death by a son, Nicholas Patrick Beasley and brother, Bobby Gayle Beasley.
Cremation was chosen. No services have been scheduled. Gash Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
