Jackie Searcy Obituary

Jackie Dale Searcy, 75, passed away on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at University of Kentucky Hospital. He was born on September 8, 1950, in LaGrange, Kentucky, to the late James Cleveland and Susan Mary Stratton Searcy.

Jackie graduated from Anderson County High School in 1968. He served in the National Guard and spent the majority of his career working at IBM and Lexmark as an engineer. Jackie retired in 2016. From birth until his retirement, Jackie was a resident of Lawrenceburg; after retiring, he moved to Florida, but returned to Kentucky in 2022. Jackie was the adoring father of three children and ten grandchildren, who lovingly called him Pop. He traveled extensively; he enjoyed home improvement and woodworking projects; he never met a stranger.

He is survived by his wife, Lily Searcy, his son, Anthony Dale Searcy, his daughter, Heather Searcy Fly (Michael) of Tallahassee, FL., and a step son, Jerry Chen. Jackie's 10 surviving grandchildren are Amos, Star, Jaxson, Simon, Marlee, Liam, and James Searcy; Jack, Crew, and Julianne Fly. Jackie is also survived by his brother, Bobby Searcy (Teresa) of Lawrenceburg, along with a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Jackie was preceded in death by his son, Travis Searcy, and brothers, James Winston, Larry, and Stanley Searcy.

A celebration of Jackie's life will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2026 at Noon & Son Funeral Home. A gathering of family and friends will begin at 2:00 PM and last until 3:30 PM, at which time there will be a service. Brother Mark Webb will officiate.
