Irene May Litchfield Mays, 87, of Lancaster, widow of Emmett Ray Mays, died Thursday, February 24, 2022 at Landmark of Lancaster.
She was born in New Port, Vermont to the late Milton and Irene Gagne Litchfield. She was a member at Georgetown Baptist Church and formerly worked as a nurses aid at Dover Manor.
Irene is survived by five children, Emmett Ray (Christine) Mays, Versailles, John Milton (Dianne) Mays, Lancaster, Frank Douglas (Vicky) Mays, Nicholasville, Phyliss Ann (Larry) Parrish, of Lawrenceburg and Belinda Jean Mays, of Lexington; brother, Milton Litchfield, of Clearmont, FL; 13 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Direct cremation was chosen. Gash Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
