Grey Scotland Devore, Jr.

Grey Scotland Devore, Jr. 31, husband of 8 years to Abbigail Marie Benham Devore, of Salvisa, died Thursday, October 13, 2022 at his residence.

          He was born in Lexington, KY to the late Kimberly Lynn; a member of Springdale Baptist Church; completed his GED; and enjoyed deer hunting and fishing, along with spending time with his family in his free time.

          Along with his wife he is survived by his four children, Brookelynn Jane Taylor, Lucas Scott Devore, Hunter Garrett Devore and Tyler Dean Devore, all of Salvisa; mother, Betty Harris, Salvisa; three brothers, Josh Harris, Lexington, Brandon (Stacy) Harris, Eastern KY, Matt (Elizabeth) Harris, Lawrenceburg; sister, Christina Jane Devore, Lexington; mother-in-law, Sondra (Larry) Goodlett; two uncles, Randy and Dwayne Lynn, both of Lexington; and several nieces and nephews.

          Grey was preceded in death by his father, Larry Harris and grandfather, Gerald Lynn.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 21, 2022 at Gash Memorial Chapel with Bro. John McDaniel and Bro. Hillary Claypool officiating. Burial will follow in the Stratton Family Cemetery. Visitation 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. prior to the service on Friday.

          Casket bearers will be Dakota Turner, Glen Settles, Brandon Harris, Jonathan Lynn, Derek Benham, Matt Harris, Nathan Dye and Jacob Dye. Honorary bearers will be his four children, Josh Harris, Travis and Jacob Neely, and Forest Kincaid.
