Ellen Marie Rogers

Ellen Marie Rogers, 59, of Lawrenceburg, died Thursday, October 22, 2020 at the UK Medical Center.

          Ellen was born in Richmond, Kentucky to the late James William Rogers, Sr. and Della Marie Powell Martin.  She received her Associates Degree from the Hazard School of Nursing and was a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for Signature Healthcare in Lawrenceburg.  She was previously an LPN for Laurel Creek Nursing Home in Manchester.  Ellen loved her family, job, and patients. 

          She is survived by the love of her life for 14 years, Robert Anderson, of Louisville; five children, Della Melissa “Bear” (Gardner) Travillian, James Dee “JD” (Jeannie) Singleton, Laura Marie (Isaac) Rogers, John Lathery, Jr., all of Lawrenceburg, and Jess (Evelynne) Sova, Frankfort; several grandchildren including Ethan, Taylor, Tony, Tori, Nick, DJ, Daniel, Brayden, Noah, and Madilyn, all of Lawrenceburg; and several nieces and nephews.

          She was preceded in death by her brother, James “Jimmy” Rogers.

          Funeral service will be 7:00 p.m. Sunday, October 25, 2020 at Gash Memorial Chapel with Michael Thompson officiating.  Visitation 5-7 p.m. Sunday prior to the service.

          Pall bearers will be James “JD” Singleton, John Lathery, Jr., Gardner Travillian, Jess Sova, Robert Anderson, and her grandchildren, Ethan, Tony, DJ, and Daniel.  Honorary bearers will be her co-workers at Signature Healthcare.
