Edith Mae Decker Caudill, 75, wife of 30 years Charles L. Caudill, of Lawrenceburg died August 9, 2021 at her residence.
She was born in Mercer County to the late Virginia Merryman Decker Cox and Louis Herman Decker. Edith was a member at Claylick United Methodist Church, 1964 graduate of Anderson High School; and retired from YKK where she worked in shipping and receiving. She loved to travel and spent time with her family.
Edith was preceded in death by her parents, and stepfather Leanious Cox along with a sister, Myrtle Decker, a brother, William Lewis Decker, a nephew, Heath Stacy Decker, aunt, Edith Porter Merryman, and cousin, William (Bill) Porter.
Along with her husband she is survived by her son, Bruce Troy (Lisa) McGaughey; 3 grandchildren, Bruce Colten McGaughey, Neo Sebastian Dale McGaughey and Kiana Arabella Marie McGaughey; nieces Kerry (Kris) Roberts and Misty Decker, all of Lawrenceburg; cousin Clara Joyce Cloyd, Harrodsburg; special friends, Evelyn (Marvin) Smith, Salvisa, and Brenda (Rich) Nolan, Lawrenceburg.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. with Brother Brian Burkhead officiating. Burial will follow in Hebron Cemetery, Visitation will be from 11-1 p.m. Wednesday prior to the service.
Casket bearers will be Donnie Cox, Kevin Cox, Norman Hall, Bronston Mitchell, Brenden Sutherland, and Kris Roberts. Honorary bearers will be Sonny Thompson, Stanley Briscoe, Ed McKee, Kenneth Caudill, Vance Reed, and Billy Overstreet.
