Dorothy May Shouse Casey, 100, of Lawrenceburg, widow of James Casey, died Friday, June 4, 2021 at her residence.
She was born in Anderson County to the late Ludlow and Bertha Searcy Shouse. She was a member at Glensboro Christian Church; former owner of City Cab Grocery; graduate of Kavanaugh High School; spent her days as a homemaker; and formerly worked for Rand McNally.
Ms. Casey is survived by two children, Stewart “Tookie” Robinson and Melissa (Eddie) Johnson; daughter-in-law, JoAnn Robinson (Bill) Collins, all of Lawrenceburg; grandchildren, James Stewart “Jimmy” (Madison) Robinson, Richmond, Travis Garity, Josh Garity, both of Lawrenceburg, Timothy (Susan) Robinson, of Smith Grove, Tina Moss, Stanford; great-grandchildren; Dillon and Tyler Robinson; Brooke Robinson Carey, Brett Robinson, Zachary (Naomi) Robinson, Micah (Amanda) Robinson; Emma Thompson; and several nieces and nephews.
Along with her husband and parents she was preceded in death by a son, James Carroll Robinson; sisters, Georgie Casey, Nancy Trent and Joyce Duncan; and brothers, Sterling and Stewart Shouse.
Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Monday, June 7, 2021 at Gash Memorial Chapel with Bro. Roy Temple, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Lawrenceburg Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11-1 p.m. on Monday prior to the service.
Cakset bearers will be Travis Garity, James Robinson, Zach Casey, Bill Collins, Mitch Simpson and Brett Robinson. Honorary bearers will be Forrest Casey, Ricky Boggs, Dr. Jamie Gilbert and JoAnn Robinson Collins.
