Doris Carlton Obituary

Doris Jean Troutt Carlton, 77, wife for 58 years to Carroll Leon Carlton, of Lawrenceburg, died Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at Frankfort Regional Medical Center.

 

          Mrs. Carlton was born in Scottsville, Kentucky to the late Eubert Garland and Letha Ann Dorris Troutt.  She was a 1961 graduate of Male High School; member of Glensboro Baptist Church; and a former employee of Whitaker Bank.

 

          Along with her husband, Doris is survived by her daughter, Hope (Terry) Hager, Lawrenceburg; son, Stewart (Shirley) Carlton, Madison, Alabama; two grandsons, Dustin Carlton, Huntsville, Alabama, and Thomas Carlton, Louisville.

 

          She was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruth and Frances Meador, and brother, Tommy Troutt.

 

          Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 26, 2021 at Gash Memorial Chapel with Bro. Glenn Corn officiating.  Burial will follow in the Mt. Vernon Cemetery.  Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Thursday.

 

          Memorial contributions are suggested to Glensboro Baptist Church, 2910 Glensboro Road, Lawrenceburg, KY 40342.
