Donna Lou Vanover Lubinski, age 75, wife for 30 years to Henry J. “Ski” Lubinski, of Lawrenceburg, died Thursday, July 23, 2020 at UK Medical Center.
Donna was born in Hazard, Kentucky to the late Matt and Orpha Marie Wooton Hoskins. She obtained an Associates Degree from Cincinnati Business College; was a retired Student Affairs Officer from UK Center for Rural Health; worked at Wal-Mart for several years after retirement; member of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit #34 where she was the former Poppy Chairman; volunteered for several organizations including the Burgoo Festival, Ride to the Wall, and Relay for Life; and she frequently donated to the Open Hands Food Pantry.
Along with her husband, Donna is survived by her daughter, Ramona (Steve) Karsner; three grandchildren, Madison, Clay, and Cacee Karsner, all of Danville; best friend, Patty (Tim) Martinez, Lawrenceburg; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Burchell and Poca Wooton;
two brothers, Al Dixon and Wally Couch; sister, Rella Freeman, and twin sister, Bonna Lou Vanover.
A memorial service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Monday, August 3, 2020 at Gash Memorial Chapel with Bro. Bill Hartung officiating. Visitation 4-6:30 p.m. Monday prior to the service.
