Darrel Dewayne Watts

          Darrel Dewayne Watts, 74, of Harrodsburg, passed away Sunday, April 6, 2025 at Harrodsburg Health and Rehabilitation Center.

          He was born on February 18, 1951 to the late Hezekaih June Watts and Dorothy Roberts Price. Mr. Watts was a member at Pioneer Baptist Church in Harrodsburg; worked as a Steeplejack for R&P Chimneys for many years; and a US Army Veteran that served during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed listening to music of any kind; was an avid collector of knickknacks; and had a large zippo lighter collection. Darrel especially enjoyed making others laugh through his great sense of humor. He had a way of making a joke out of anything.

          Mr. Watts is survived by two children, Shane Watts, of Lawrenceburg and Layla Camden, of Harrodsburg; four grandchildren, Tyler and Brayden Watts, of Lawrenceburg, Emma Camden, Harrodsburg and Caden Watts, of Lawrenceburg; and special friend, Mike (Jo Ann) McCoy, of Harrodsburg.

          Along with his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Cindy Clifton Watts and sister, Daphne “Tootie” Wilham.

          Cremation was chosen and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
