Charley T. Tipton

Charley T. Tipton, 68, passed away July 24, 2025 at the VA Medical Center in Lexington. He was born October 22, 1956 to the late George and Shelby Stratton Tipton. Charley was a member of Fintville Community Church, and a retired Truck Driver and Army Veteran.

Survived by his wife, Peggy Walling Tipton of Versailles, KY. Children, Thomas Tipton (Sara) of Versailles, KY. Chrissy Hunter (Josh) of Georgetown, KY. Amy Muniz (Rick) of Versailles, KY. Rebecca Owens (Danny) of Versailles, KY. Grandchildren, Colton Tipton, Clayton Berger, Chloe Muniz, Kyle Fetters, Gracie Fetters, Danny Owens (Bethany), Cameron Owens, Alex Owens, Brandon Owens, and  Jaxton , Jace and Bentley Hunter. Great Grandchildren, Everly, Asa and Stella Owens. Brothers, Tommy Tipton (Teresa) of Versailles, Ky. Phillip Tipton (Phyllis) of Versailles, KY. Sisters, Joyce Kinder (Steve) of Versailles, KY., and Lisa Lemire of Summerville, SC.

Funeral service will be 1:00 PM Tuesday, July 29, 2025 at Crosspointe Church, 130 Depot Street, Versailles, KY.  Visitation from 11:00 AM until time of service at the church. Rick Lawson will be officiating. Pallbearers will be all his grandchildren. Burial to follow with full military honors at Camp Nelson National Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
