Carole Hughes Cammack, 84, of Lawrenceburg, widow of Ruble K. Cammack, passed away Sunday, June 30, 2024 surrounded by her loving family at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington.
She was born on September 13, 1939 to the late Allen and Geneva Hughes Cammack in Lawrenceburg, KY. She was a member at First Baptist Church where she was active in the New Hope Sunday School Class; graduate of Anderson County High School in 1957; and retired from the Kentucky State Government where she worked as an accountant.
Ms. Cammack is survived by two daughters, Jennifer (Jeff) Shouse and Lorrie Rhodes; step-daughter, LaKeta (Ance) Hatfield, all of Lawrenceburg; two grandchildren, D. Christopher Noah (Ciara) Young and Matthew O’Neal “Neal” Young; two step-grandchildren, Allison (Jason) Black and Brandon Hatfield; great-granddaughter, Emberleigh Young; and sister, Brenda Sue (John) Frank, of Portland, OR.
Along with her spouse and parents she was preceded in death by a grandson, Jonathan Shouse; son-in-law, Justin Rhodes; 2 brothers, Allen Cammack, Jr. and Don Cammack; 2 sisters, Martha “Sitter” Campbell and Emma Horn.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 3, 2024 at Noon & Son Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. with Bro. Randy Peyton officiating. Burial will follow in Lawrenceburg Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday, July 2, 2024 from 4-7 p.m. and on Wednesday from 9-11 a.m. prior to the service.
Casket bearers will be Neal Young, Noah Young, Shaun Case, Dwayne Hawkins, Shawn Hutton, Dustin Young, Jeff Shouse and Brad McGuire.
