Bonnie Mae Phillips, 75, of Lawrenceburg, died Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at St. Joseph Hospital with her daughter by her side.
She was born in Anderson County to the late William “Mush” Phillips and Anna Mae Kays Phillips. Bonnie was a member at Goshen Baptist Church; graduate of Anderson County High School; worked for Frankfort Regional Medical Center in the billing department; and was active with the Anderson County Senior Citizen Center. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who loved celebrating holidays, cooking, playing bingo and Kentucky Basketball.
Ms. Phillips is survived by her two children, Susan Oakley and son-in-law, Andy and Gary Rucker, both of Nicholasville; two brothers, Ricky (Angie) Phillips and Wayne Phillips; sister, Barbara Willard, all of Lawrenceburg; 3 grandchildren, Krista (Derek Whitis) Howe; Brittney Oakley and Tyler (Summer) Oakley; great-grandchildren, Gunner, Hadley, Annalise, Grayson, Chase, Gavyn and Letti.
Along with her parents Bonnie was preceded in death by a son, Jerry Rucker and brother, Ronnie Phillips.
Funeral services will be Friday, March 4, 2022 at Gash Memorial Chapel at 1:00 p.m. with Bro. Steve Carmichael officiating. Cremation will follow after the service. Visitation will be from 11-1 p.m. prior to the service.
Honorary pallbearers will be all of her friends from the Senior Citizen Center and her neighbor, Sarah.
