Barbara Jean (Barnett) Pruitt

Barbara Jean Barnett Pruitt, age 82, of Lawrenceburg, widow of Hison Cletis Pruitt, passed away Thursday, October 19, 2023 at Baptist Health Hospital in Lexington.

          Ms. Pruitt was born in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky to the late William Harry and Ruby Jane Husband Barnett.  She was a former baker at Wal-Mart for many years, along with serving more than 35 years at Fruit of the Loom as a seamstress and screen-printing operator.

          Barbara is survived by two sons, Wayne (Tiffany) Pruitt and Kevin Lee (Renee) Pruitt; daughter, Jennifer Pruitt, all of Lawrenceburg; granddaughter, Alexandria Noelle (Dalen) Winkleman, of Richmond; two sisters, Carolyn Burton and Minnie Young, both of Lawrenceburg.

          She is preceded in death by a grandson, Jacob Tyler Campbell; and three sisters, Ethel Baldwin, Lucy Bell Devine, and Lillie Bradley.

          Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, October 23, 2023 at Noon and Son Funeral Home with Bro. Glenn Corn officiating.  Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery.  Visitation 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. prior to the service on Monday.
