Alma Jean Bowman Warford, 86, of Lawrenceburg, widow of Ralph Gilbert Warford, died Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at Bluegrass Hospice Care Center in Lexington.
She was born in Versailles, Kentucky to the late Lonzo and Stella Bowman. She was a homemaker and member of Full Gospel Assembly of God, where she was very passionate about singing.
Mrs. Warford is survived by her two daughters, Debbie (James) Bottom, Lawrenceburg, and Donna (Michael) Bentley, Versailles; three grandchildren, Carrie Slugantz, Versailles, Chad (Vanessa) Snapp and Kelly Smith, both of Lawrenceburg; six great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Anna Bell Gill, Midway, and Kitty Riddle, Lawrenceburg.
She was preceded in death by her grandson, Andy Smith; five brothers, Lonzo ‘June’ Bowman, Jr., Lawrence, John, Kelly, and Doc Bowman; six sisters, Edith Carter, Annetta Robinson, Lora June Serber, Lila Goins, Laura Robinson, and Goldie Bowman.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at Gash Memorial Chapel with Bro. Kenny Robinson and Bro. Mark Studler officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation 4-7 p.m. Tuesday.
Pall bearers will be Chad Snapp, Aiden Slugantz, Wyatt Snapp, Dylan Smith, Jordan Smith, and Tim Robinson. Honorary bearers will be Andy Smith, Tommy Warford, Kelsey Berger, and Savannah Smith.
