Vivian Mescal Smith Kemper, 92, of Lawrenceburg, widow of Paul Richard Kemper, died Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at Frankfort Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Kemper was born in West Liberty, Kentucky to the late Armstrong and Mary Fraley Smith. She was a veteran of the U.S. Navy during the Korean War; formerly employed in telecommunications for the federal government; worked more than 10 years at American Airlines as a ticket agent and company representative; and was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and VFW.
Vivian is survived by her great nephews, Richard (Maria) Kimbleton and Henry J. (Donna) Lubinski, both of Lawrenceburg, Scott Fillis, Louisville, Albert (Honey) Catriz, Washington; great niece, Kaye Jacob, California; great-great nieces, Alejandra and Ashley Kimbleton; great-great nephew, James Kimbleton, all of Lawrenceburg.
A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 22, 2018 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church with Father Jeff Estacio officiating. A private burial will follow in Camp Nelson National Cemetery at a later date. Visitation 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at Gash Memorial Chapel and starting at 10 a.m. on Thursday at the church.
