Goldie Givens Robinson, age 101, of Lawrenceburg, widow of Edwin G. Robinson, died Friday, November 2, 2018 at Heritage Hall Nursing Home.
Mrs. Robinson was born in Middlesboro, Kentucky to the late William and Rilla Victoria Southern Givens. She was a graduate of Middlesboro High School; member of Lawrenceburg United Methodist Church where she attended the Seniors Sunday School Class; homemaker; substitute elementary school teacher during WWII; and enjoyed cooking, gardening, and traveling where she had visited 46 states and 36 foreign countries.
Goldie is survived by four children, Gary (Gwen) Robinson, Lawrenceburg, Melanie Skeeters and Michael Robinson, both of Louisville, and Teri (Bill) Hensen, of Kirkland, WA; six grandchildren, Tim Daughtery, Robin (Tom) Mitchell, Kim Robinson, Michele Ernspiker, Amanda (Mike) Finnegan, and Erin Robinson; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by seven brothers; three sisters; and a great-great grandchild, McKenzie Denton.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at Gash Memorial Chapel with Pastor Errol Archerson officiating. Burial will follow in the Hebron Cemetery. Visitation 6-8 p.m. Tuesday and prior to the services on Wednesday.
