Glenna Mitchell Obituary

 

         Glenna Dale McGuire Hutton Mitchell, age 71, wife for 31 years to Ron Elster Mitchell, of Lawrenceburg, died Saturday, December 15, 2018 at the St. Joseph Bluegrass Navigator Care Center in Lexington.

 

         Mrs. Mitchell was born in Harrodsburg, Kentucky to the late Marvin McGuire and Martha Bruce “Sitter” Campbell.  She graduated from Anderson High School; was a member of Lawrenceburg Church of Christ; formerly worked for KY State Government in the Natural Resources Department; and operated a daycare out of her home for many years.

 

         Besides her husband she is survived by a son, Shawn Allen (Katie) Hutton, Lawrenceburg; daughter, Sara Wane (Chris) Lindsey, Danville; two grandchildren, Harper Kate Hutton, Lawrenceburg, and MaKayla Lindsey, Danville; two sisters, Ann (Shaun) Case and Jane Hughes (Dwayne) Hawkins, both of Lawrenceburg; and several nieces and nephews.

 

         She was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry McGuire.

 

         Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at Gash Memorial Chapel with Bro. Burt Paden officiating.  Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday.

 

         Casket bearers will be Shaun Case, Floyd Stratton, Dewayne Hawkins, Brad McGuire, Shawn Hutton, and Chris Lindsey. Honorary bearers will be Larry Stewart, Gary Taylor, and Paul Cornish.

 

         Memorial contributions are suggested to Bluegrass Care Navigators (Hospice), 663 Teton Trail, Frankfort, KY 40601.
