Georgia Christine Shouse Casey, 96, of Lawrenceburg, widow of William Stanley Casey, died Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at Frankfort Regional Medical Center.
She was born in Anderson County to the late Ludlow Shouse and Bertha Searcy Shouse Parker. Georgia was a graduate of Kavanaugh High School; member at Glensboro Christian Church where she taught Sunday School; formerly worked as a beautician; she hosted prayer groups; was a member of the Homemaker's Club; and in her spare time she enjoyed dancing and music.
Georgia is survived by her son, Forrest Wayne (Sue) Casey, Waddy; sister, Dorothy Casey, Lawrenceburg; grandchildren Martin (Lori) Casey and Jeff (Leeanne) Casey; great-grandchildren, Steven, Zach, Chelsea, Brittney, Rachel, and Josh; and great-great grandchildren, Christian, Ethan, Kenlee and Levi.
Along with her parents and her spouse she was preceded in death by two brothers, Stewart and Sterling Shouse and two sisters, Nancy Hutcherson and Joyce Duncan.
Funeral services will be Saturday, October, 27, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Gash Memorial Chapel with Bro. Gene Welsh officiating. Burial will follow in Lawrenceburg Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11-1 p.m. prior to the service.
Casket bearers will be Anthony Goodman, Zach Casey, Justin Goodman, Rick Boggs, Michael Boggs, and Bill Bollinger. Honorary bearers will be Steven Casey, Joshua Casey, and Jake Goodman.
