Conley Floyd Kays, age 66, husband for 45 years to Deborah Marie Hopper Kays, of Lawrenceburg, died Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at the U.K. Medical Center.
Mr. Kays was born in Pocatello, Idaho to the late Chester Lockhart and Evelyn Mae Shelton Kays. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army where he served in the Vietnam War. Conley was a former concrete truck driver for IMI and former foreman for CSX Railroad. He enjoyed spending time with his dog, Bridgett, and watching television.
Along with his wife, Conley is survived by his daughter, Amanda Hope Kays, Lawrenceburg; three grandchildren, LaKeisha (Coti Perkins) Kays and Jazmin Starr Grantham, both of Frankfort, and Braden Kays, Lawrenceburg; two brothers, David Allen Kays and Chester Lockhart (Bobbie) Kays, Jr., both of Lawrenceburg; two sisters, Debbie (Dee) Kays, Shelbyville, and Patsy Sue Kays (Terry) Bush, Lawrenceburg.
He was preceded in death by brother, Larry Ray Kays, and sister, Wanda Jane Kays.
A Celebration of Life will be 7:00 p.m. Monday, February 11, 2019 at Gash Memorial Chapel with Carl Bush officiating. Visitation 5-7 p.m. Monday prior to services.
