Cheryl Jean (Proctor) Best

         Cheryl Jean Proctor Best, age 67, of Lawrenceburg, widow of Charles Louis Best, died Friday, December 8, 2017 at Baptist Health in Lexington.

         She was born in Jefferson County to the late James Henry and Bertha Geneva Phillips Proctor.  She attended Freedom Baptist Church; member at Providence Presbyterian Church; and retired from Quebecor where she worked as a label sorter.

         Ms. Best was survived by four step-sons, Tom Best, Bobby (Margie) Best, Wayne Best, and Tony Best; sisters, Gayla Oliver, Jackie (Kenny) Trent, all of Lawrenceburg; Sheila (David) Woods, North Carolina; brothers, Bronson Proctor and Paul (Marsha) Proctor, both of Lawrenceburg; 10 step-grandchildren; 8 step great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

         Along with her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a child at birth and sister, Barbara Holt.

         Casket bearers will be Kendall Trent, Jacob Trent, Connie Wayne Best, Robbie Best, Robert Tackett, and Chris Ritchie.

         Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Gash Memorial Chapel with Bro. Steve Wells and Brian Proctor officiating. Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery.  Visitation will be Monday from 5-8 p.m.
