Betty Kathleen Jenkins Carlton, 87, of Lawrenceburg, died Saturday, October 26, 2019 at Heritage Hall Healthcare Center.
She was born in Washington County to the late George Wilson and Alta Mae Shewmaker Jenkins. Betty was a member at First Baptist Church where she was in the Fidelis Sunday School Class and helped cook family night suppers. In her spare time she enjoyed quilting and was a UK fan.
Ms. Carlton is survived by two daughters, Connie Ann (Chuck) Franklin, of Frankfort and Betty Carolyn (Billy) Hyatt, of Lawrenceburg; two sisters, Janet (Charles) Lake, Cynthiana, Brenda Clark, Waddy; brother, Teddy (Sharon) Jenkins, of Lexington; 4 grandchildren, Tanya Renee West, Yonna Jean (Chris) Heady, both of Frankfort, Tiffany Michelle (Aaron) Hyatt, Louisville, and Gerry Allen (Allie) Hyatt, of Lawrenceburg; 9 great-grandchildren, Madison West, Reagan West, Trinity Williams, Kelli Hyatt, Cadene Robinson, McKenzie Hyatt, Jackson Hyatt, Noah Heady, and Harley Hyatt.
Along with her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, G.W. Jenkins.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at Gash Memorial Chapel with Dr. Robert F. Ehr officiating. Burial will follow in Lawrenceburg Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday.
Casket bearers will be David Clark, Bucky Hall, Dee Hall, Jason Hall, Danny Joe Sutherland, and Gary Sutherland. Honorary bearers will be Curt Carlton, Chucky Jenkins, Phillip Smitha, Ricky Jenkins, and Glendon Carlton.
