Amaryllis Catlett Cotton, age 88, of Lawrenceburg, widow of Leroy Cotton, died Sunday, June 9, 2019 at her residence.
Mrs. Cotton was born in Anderson County to the late Ezra and Lizzie Perry Catlett. She was a 1950 graduate of Kavanaugh High School; member of First Baptist Church; and a homemaker.
She is survived by her two sons, David (Brenda Lowe) Cotton, Lexington, and Doug (Debbie) Cotton, Louisville; daughter, Terri Birdwhistell, Lawrenceburg; grandchildren, Liz (Josh) Basham, Leitchfield, Amanda (Mike) Abernathy, Louisville, Laura (Sam) Hagan, Lawrenceburg, Lee Birdwhistell, Lexington; great-grandchildren, Rylee Stephens, Zach Hagan, Reid Basham, Luke Basham, Micah Abernathy and Heather Shanks; great-great grandchild, Aariah Beatty.
She was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Daniel Wayne Cotton and Lindsay Anne Birdwhistell; siblings, Virginia Catlett Perry, Maxine Kring, Eva Perry, Inez Sutherland, Lois Gash, Thomas Catlett, and Elbert Catlett.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at Gash Memorial Chapel with Chaplin Lisa Heuser and Mark Logsdon officiating. Visitation 11-1 p.m. Wednesday prior to the service.
