David want to express my sincerest condolences for the loss of Vernell. Shockey to hear this news since I was unaware she was battling cancer. We were very good friends in high school but is always the case, lose touch after goingb I n different directions following high school. So sorry I didn't know the situation for I would have visited her. My prayers for you that God carry you through the grieving times ahead. Grieving is a form of healing but painful healing process. It's a temporary separation. God bless/heal your broken heart David

Vern and I worked together for several years at the CCC. Then, I had the pleasure of assisting her during the early onset of her career as a wedding planner. We had the opportunity to share so many laughs and good times. Her talents were as numerous as the lives she touched. She left a big imprint on mine. Peace Be With You.

I am so sorry to hear of Ms. Devine's passing. Ms. Devine was my 6th grade teacher at Huntertown Elementary. I had just moved to Versailles from eastern Kentucky, and I was very nervous about starting a new school in an unfamiliar place. She took me under her wing and made me feel confident/smart/secure. Her kindness will never be forgotten by me. She will be greatly missed by many I am sure. Prayers for her loved ones.

Emily, I am so sorry for your loss, I know she meant the world to you. I've heard you speak of her at work. We had the chance to meet her and your son once. I remember hearing you say she was battling cancer. She sounds like she was amazing through it all. One of the most thankful things that can be said about death is she is not suffering anymore. Please don't take that the wrong way. We always want to keep our loved ones here with us forever if we could but not to watch them suffer. May God wrap you and your family in his arms and comfort you at this difficult time. Thinking of you.
