Sylvia Jane (Larkin) Ritchey

Sylvia Jane Larkin Ritchey, age 81, of Lawrenceburg, wife of 34 years to Curtis Ritchey, died Thursday, January 19, 2017 at her residence.

She was born in Eubank, KY to the late Eulice and Mabel Jones Larkin.  She was a graduate of Eubank High School; a member and former Sunday School Teacher at Fellowship Baptist Church; a retired inspector from Webster Electric; and former employee of Anderson County Kids Club and Creative Minds.

Besides her husband, Mrs. Ritchey is survived by a daughter, Linda (Bill) Bates, Lawrenceburg; six sons, Jimmy Dale (Mary) Ashburn, Monticello, KY, Johnny Dean Ashburn, Lawrenceburg, Michael Burton Ashburn, Murfreesboro, TN, Steven Craig (Alice) Ashburn, James (Sandy) Ritchey, and Philip (Phyllis) Ritchey, all of Lawrenceburg; sister, Vicky (Stan) Chaney, Eubank, KY; two brothers, Arnold (Juanita) Larkin, Eubank, KY and Larry Larkin, Somerset; 23 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; life-long friend, Flo Walhoite, Frankfort; and her precious dog, Lilly.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Burton Junior Ashburn; grandson, Jacob Ashburn; great-granddaughter, Avery Ashburn; and brother, Billy Dale Larkin.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 22, 2017 at Gash Memorial Chapel with Bro. Tim Johnson and Bro. Carl Jones officiating.  Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery.  Visitation will be 3-7 p.m. Saturday.

Casket bearers will be Jason Ashburn, Johnny Ashburn, Michael Ashburn, Kevin Ritchey, Ben Gee, Lee Robinson, Bill Shewmaker, and Donnie Earls.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Adult Day Care Center, 160 Township Square, Lawrenceburg, KY 40342.
