Nellion Rae (Wells) Hahn

Nellion Rae Wells Hahn, 94, of Lawrenceburg, widow of Gilbert Marshall Hahn, died Sunday, April 30, 2017 at her son’s residence.

 

         She was born in Anderson County to the late Cecil and Hester Ward Wells. She was a member at Anderson Christian Church; attended First Baptist Church; ran the star mail route in Chaplin, KY; and retired from General Electric where she was a line worker.

 

         Ms. Hahn is survived by two sons, Gilbert Ray Hahn, of Louisville, and Burt (Linda) Hahn; two brothers, Don (Sandy) Wells, Sherrell (Brenda) Wells, all of Lawrenceburg; two grandchildren, Marty (Geri) Hahn, Dewain (Danielle) Hahn; seven great-grandchildren, Crystal, Zane, Seth (Josie), Haley, Brelynn, and Trenton Hahn; and three great-great grandchildren, Max, Brody, and Lydia Hahn.

 

         Along with her parents and husband she was preceded in death by two brothers, William Wells, Cecil Wells, Jr.; and two sisters, Blondella Wells Coke and Margaret Ann Wells Dennis.

 

         Funeral services will be Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Gash Memorial Chapel with Dr. Robert F. Ehr officiating. Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday.

 

         Casket bearers will be Gayle Wells, Dr. Don Wells, Kevin Payton, Lee Hahn, Tony Hahn, and Harold Reese Coulter. Honorary bearers will be Kathleen Coke, Shirley Hoskins, Wilma Thompson, Kathy Hahn, Shirley Bean, and Margaret Armstrong.
