Martha (Cottrell) Robinson

          Martha Cottrell Robinson, 93, widow of Eugene Robinson, of Lawrenceburg, died Thursday, August 3, 2017 at her residence.

          Mrs. Robinson was born in Anderson County to the late Clarence and Ethel Baker Cottrell.  She was a member of First Christian Church and worked all her life as a homemaker and farmer.

          Martha is survived by three daughters, Doris (Clarence) Goodpaster, Harrodsburg, Betty F. Thompson and Edith (Jim) Hanks; son, Larry (Ramona) Robinson, all of Lawrenceburg; 16 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great grandchildren; sister, Frances Bowman; sister-in-law, Russ Cottrell, both of Lawrenceburg; son-in-law, Walt Young, Harrodsburg; and daughter-in-law, Melinda Daugherty, Louisville.

          She was preceded in death by a son, Leroy Robinson; two daughters, Patsy Young and Pam Robinson; brother, William Cottrell; sister, Margaret Chilton; and 7 great-grandchildren.

          Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 7, 2017 at Gash Memorial Chapel with Bro. Jim Wheeler officiating.  Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery.  Visitation 5-8 p.m. Sunday.

          Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Kenny Goodpastor, Jimmy Goodpastor, Len Goodpastor, Brad Thompson, Lee Robinson, Justin Robinson, Rodney Robinson, and David Robinson.  Honorary bearers will be her granddaughters, Kristi Peavler, Sherry Brock, Marti Goodlett, Kelli Tate, Marcia Franklin, Stacey Wallace, Jamie White, and Lauren Whiteneck.
