Margaret Mae Cox Shouse Spaulding, 100, of Lawrenceburg, widow of John Allen Spaulding, died Thursday, September 7, 2017 at Heritage Hall Healthcare Center.
She was born in Anderson County to the late Benjamin Franklin and Leona Pearl Overstreet Cox. She was a member at Lawrenceburg First Baptist Church; member of the Fedilas Sunday School class; and retired from Universal Fasteners where she worked as a sorter.
Margaret is survived by three children, Delbert F. (Genell) Shouse, of St. Augustine, FL, Kathleen (Fred) Coke, Lawrenceburg, and Lena (Herman) Roark, Versailles; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Roy D. Shouse; five brothers, Tom, Jim, Ambrose, Willie, and Leanious Cox; and six sisters, Beatrice Simon, Viola Smith, Nora Taylor, Lizzie Robinson, Mary Shouse, and Arbella Cox.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at Gash Memorial Chapel at 1:00 p.m. with Dr. Robert F. Ehr officiating. Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11-1 p.m. prior to the service.
Casket bearers will be Timothy Roark, Mark Roark, Darren Coke, Jacob Roark, Cameron Mahan, and Michael Mahan.
