Louise (Searcy) Buntain

         Louise Searcy Buntain, 91, of Lawrenceburg, widow of Bertram Maston Buntain, died Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at the Masonic Home of Shelbyville.

         Mrs. Buntain was born in Anderson County to the late Robert and Emolyn Gash Searcy.  She was a homemaker and a member of Corinth Christian Church, where she taught Sunday School for many years.  She loved her family, her church, and being outdoors where she spent many days helping her late husband on the farm.

         Louise is survived by her children, Robert Lawrence (Betty) Buntain, Bertram Maston (Kim) Buntain, and Janie Lou (Steve) Bowen, all of Lawrenceburg; 6 grandchildren, Robin Walls, Georgetown, Kevin (Ranaye) Buntain, Versailles, Laura (Paul) Stallings, Amelia, Va, and Kristin (JB) Billy, Cornelius, NC, Charles (Leslie Morris) Fisher and James R. Fisher III, both of Lawrenceburg; 11 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Peggy Buntain, Cornelius, NC; sister-in-law, Lillian Searcy, Louisville; and brother-in-law, Kenneth Donovan, Taylorsville.

         She was preceded in death by her son, Richard Maston Buntain; daughters, Estella Ann Buntain and Joyce Delores Buntain; brother, Bobby Searcy; and sisters, Mary Rose Stevens, Myrtle Martin, Edith Buntain, and Alice Carol Donovan.

         Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 27, 2017 at Gash Memorial with Bro. Matt Sawyer officiating.  Burial will follow in the Corinth Cemetery.  Visitation 5-8 p.m. Thursday.

         Pall bearers will be Kevin Buntain, Lucas Tipton, Dillon Walls, Charles Fisher, James R. Fisher III, and Bertram Buntain.
