George Washington “Lone Dog” Wash, 79, of Lawrenceburg, died Thursday, February 1, 2018 at his residence.
He was born in Anderson County to the late Wilson Henry and Helen Thompson Wash. Mr. Wash worked for Old Granddad National Distillery as a line mechanic and was a proud member of the Democratic Party.
Mr. Wash is survived by his four children, Teresa (Paul) Rassenfoss, Tina Marie (Ricky) Purvis, Earlene Scott (Rodney) Barker, and John F. (Tammy) Wash, all of Lawrenceburg; brother, Garry (Barbara) Wash, of Lawrenceburg; four sisters, Reba (Ted) Rogers, Iowa, Alberta Peyton, Susie Durr, and Joyce Wash, all of Lawrenceburg; 11 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Along with his parents he was preceded in death by sisters, Judy Bickers and Mary Lynn “Boobie” Shyrock and brothers, Gene Wash, Wilson “Nappie” Wash, Jr., and Jimmy Wash.
Visitation will be Monday, February 5, 2018 from 5-8 p.m. Cremation will follow after visitation. Gash Memorial Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
