Donnie Gene Peach, age 81, of Lawrenceburg, widower of Linda Parsons Peach, died Saturday, January 27, 2018 at his residence.
Mr. Peach was born in Anderson County to the late John W. and Zorilla Ward Peach. He was a member of Bloomfield Baptist Church; attended First Baptist Church of Lawrenceburg; member of IUE Local 761 G.E.; a farmer; and retired from General Electric after almost 29 years.
Donnie is survived by two daughters, Melissa (Charles) Monroe, of Lawrenceburg and Robin (Marlon) Maxey, of Bedford, KY; three grandchildren, Derrick Monroe, Brandon (Whitney) Monroe, and Melinda (Justin) Smith; two great-grandchildren, Merritt and Samuel Smith; brother, Charles (Janice) Peach; sister, Betty Barnett; sister-in-law, Patsy Peach, all of Lawrenceburg; sister-in-laws, Lillian Green and Carol (Billy Joe) Benham, both of Bloomfield; brother-in-law, Joe Parsons, Bardstown; special friend, Carol Whitehouse, Chaplin; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by four brothers, Forrest Peach, John Peach, Jr., Thomas Peach, Raymond Peach; two sisters, Barbara Montgomery, and Ruby Drury.
Funeral services will be 12 pm Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at Gash Memorial Chapel with Dr. Robert F. Ehr officiating. Burial will follow in the Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation 4-8 pm Monday.
Pall bearers will be Bobby Peach, Jerry Peach, Scottie Peach, Connie Drury, Wayne Drury, Kenny Barnett, Clark Peach, Dennis Peach, and Kenneth Montgomery, Jr. Honorary bearers will be Derrick, Brandon, and Whitney Monroe, Melinda and Justin Smith, Carol Whitehouse, Charles Lee Hahn, Louis Sea, and Burt Hahn.
